What is Mountain Region League (MRL)?
5th/6th (12U)
MRL plays a combined age group of U11/U12
Thunder Mountain travel teams provide players with the opportunity to compete at a higher level, preparing them for the competitiveness of high school soccer.
These teams compete in the Mountain Region League (MRL) and travel between Carbondale, Moab and Crested Butte for 4 away games. Host 4 home games. Attend two fall tournaments and two spring tournaments.
These teams will be created through a player evaluation process. These teams will be made up of dedicated and developing 5th -6th grade players, and final team rosters are created by invitation only.
Cost
U12 $292/season or $584/year includes reserved practice space, 4 home games and 4 away games through MRL, 2 tournament fees, volunteer coach stipend/registration fee. Payment plans are available at registration.
Practices
Coaches will determine practice times and locations. TMU's home field is Long Family Park. Plan on two, 90-minute practices per week.
Registration is for a yearlong commitment; however, we work flexibly with families who have children playing multiple sports, allowing one season only with on-going communication.
Scholarships
Tryouts are free. $50 acceptance fee is due upon acceptance of roster spot.
We will do all we can to ensure every player who wants to play can. If there are not enough numbers to form a team for a certain age or ability level, we will work creatively with families to find a way for play. Money should never be a reason you can't play. Scholarship Application
